Unoffended Worship

Offense. Something very common in each man's heart. But it's always something personal. Very personal. I am no expert but i am not also excempt to this. I get seasons in this life where its an occupant in my heart. Like an unwanted thief it comes to steal, kill and destroy my joy. We might vary what it may be but like any other form of offense its rooted to one thing: Selfishness. Offense only looks out for its own good. What satisfies you. What you feel. What you should get. You might recognize its friends- self-pity, self-indulgence, self depreciation. Different names one root:SELF. When we come to worship, we turn our focus away from us and focus on the identity of God. The time when the previous ocupant of your heart which is Self is dethroned and lets Jesus reign. Because offense is a choice, a decision and not a feeling. We can choose to count the emotions and the one we let go. And worship reminds us that God is bigger than our emotions, our feelings and our hu...

Dearest YOU

April 6, 2016 Dearest YOU:             We've been together now for 5 years. But everyday seems like the first day You told me You loved and proposed to me. You even told me that even before we met, You were already in love with me with a deep love. And there are no accidents; only God's plan and Destiny. You told me I was an answered prayer (but I think it was always the other way around). You made me believe in dreams and dreaming again when You told me I was a dream come true.             You were never shy showing affection for me and how much You loved me- You were always obvious. So obvious You want the whole world how much that love is. But You never pushed me to respond to that love. You've always been the perfect gentleman. I always had my reservations with us- it was not You, it was always about me. My friends, some of them though they know about You, they don't...

Love is Choosing

Love is a choice. Always have and always will. For the emotions and feelings are a fruit and gift of that choice. Many will come by that will be better than the one you love and even the same emotions will arise. Yet what sets them apart is the CHOOSING. You chose that person and loving is choosing that person over and over and over again every single day. The feelings may fade but the choosing remains. #whogot #JESUSCHOSEYOU

Urgent Task

When I read Matthew 28:18-20, 3 things come to mind why there is such urgency in those words: 1. Ang Nagutos 2. Ang Inutos 3. Ang Inutusan Just imagine the Creator of heaven and earth became man and died and rose again after 3 days? and He is talking to you before He ascends? We make sure nga what out parents tell us before they leave dahil paguwi nila tapos di mo yun nagawa- alam mo manangot ka! pano pa kay ito? Si Lord Jesus na ito! Another is the command- it was not just something very ordinary- its a matter of life and death. It is the very heart of the Father. To save the Lost so that everyone should be saved. Lastly, we all have a limit. Don't waste your life. Live out for what is made for- Jesus. #urgenttask #worldevangelization

Health is not always wealth in God's Kingdom

Matthew 9:12-13  But when Jesus heard this, He said, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but [only] those who are sick. Go and learn what this [Scripture] means: ‘I desire compassion [for those in distress], and not [animal] sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call [to repentance] the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to change], but sinners [those who recognize their sin and actively seek forgiveness].” Health is not at all wealth in God's Kingdom. Not in this case. When Jesus came to earth and dwelled among us it was not for those who are self-proclaimed righteous- those who are healthy in the body but really deteriorating inside out with their sins. Those who cover it with make up and fine clothes the spiritual sores of addiction and sins and does not see the need to change. Jesus came for those who are sinners, those who felt the sickness of their sins and 'admitted' themselves to Jesus their need of a spiritual healer. Those who recogni...

Undeniably Peter

John 18:17,25-27  The woman asked Peter, “You’re not one of that man’s disciples, are you?” “No,” he said, “I am not.” Peter’s Second and Third Denials Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire warming himself, they asked him again, “You’re not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying, “No, I am not.” But one of the household slaves of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Didn’t I see you out there in the olive grove with Jesus?” Again Peter denied it. And immediately a rooster crowed. After 3 years of being Jesus disciple and after all the miracles Peter denied Jesus. Why was it so easy? Because its easy. The world offers easy. And in moments of easness, its also easy to ask the question like what was asked to Peter: 'di ba disciple ka ni Jesus??' We could deny him aside with our lips. We could deny him with our actions (it speaks louder than our words). So to condemn Peter is not right. After all aren't...
#thoughts #hugot #whogot
