There are things that some of us take for granted but are simple pleasures that make life grand even in the mundane. Like a cup of hot coffee made just right for your taste on a rainy day. The robust smell of the coffee is intensified by the hot water and even the dampness of the weather. The warmth that emanates from the cup between your fingers is also comforting. The simple pleasure of grass, freshly mowed in the morning. The damp smell because of the morning dew adds more to its freshness and coolness as you breathe in and out of its scent. The sound of an in-tune guitar as you strike each chord. The feel of smooth and soft wood as you slide through each chord progression and the vibration of the strings on your finger.
