The Saint Must Walk Alone

The Saint Must Walk Alone Loneliness. It comes and it goes. I settles in the middle of the night. Oh! Surely You would know? You, who knelt at the Garden, anguished and alone. Surely, I have to pass through the Garden of my own soul. Pain. It comes and it goes. It settles deep in my heart and soul. Oh! Surely You would know? You, who carried the heaviness of the Cross, Hands and Feet pierced. Surely, I have to let the pierce within. Crowd. They come and they go. Oh! Surely You would know? You, despite the multitudes, your sorrows were unrelieved. Deserted and Friendless. No one knew your Heart. Surely, I, will be a Star that will live Set-Apart.. For the Cross is not a thing of Beauty. Something to be taken so lightly. It is an overpowering, overwhelming and all absorbing entity. It seeks to crucify our old life, hopes and our dreams. Our plans and will set aside, He be Glorified. A life lived not for yourself but for Another. Seeking the Joy and pleasure of the Master. Oh! Sur...

"Why should it have to happen?"

"Why?" It's the most common question we ask when something happens, most especially if it's bad. But what if, it's always been bad and suddenly it turns good?   "1 As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. 2 “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”  3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him." This is my devotional today. Yeah, why is it when something good happens to someone who have been long suffering like the blind man since birth suddenly we ask why he was like that in the first place- " Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”  3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,”.. weeew...tsk2x..and we tend to do this don't we? We think..Think and think that the reason people are suffering or what they used to be, whether...

Paalam, Sa Aking Kababata

'Kababata'. Childhood friend. What would pop in your mind? hmmm.... Funny haircuts? Play dates? Songs of Westlife (uso yun sa panahon namin!), innocent smiles, funny moments you'll never forget coz their one of your earliest memories. Tonight or rather last night since it's already early in the morning, is the last night of wake of one of my "kababata"- Lope T. Dapun, Jr. but everyone knows him as "Jong2x". Today will be his burial as he finally ended the almost 3years battle with cancer. Since I wasn't able attend the wake, I had the urge na magkalkal ng maalikabok at luma naming mga photo albums. At eto ang nahalungkat ko; Oh! nakaholding hands pa! hahaha...  'Pandanggo Sa Ilaw'- My dance partner 'It made me smile. And Cry at the same time. It's slowly sinking in. Di ako masyado umiyak yung nalaman ko na wala kana. I know that you knew it's the end. But now, it's sinking in. Wala ka na talaga Jong. Sa aking "K...
